Sadhana — Your Daily Spiritual Practice
Sadhana ("the App", "we", "our") is a Hindu spiritual companion application for Android and iOS. We provide daily panchang, japa counter, Bhagavad Gita shlokas, mantras, and personalized spiritual guidance.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the terms of this Policy.
This policy complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and, to the extent applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
All japa counts, streaks, favourites, and panchang cache are stored only on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. This data does not leave your device unless you link an account.
If you link an email address or use the App while online, the following data is stored in our Supabase database (hosted on AWS in the us-east-1 region):
All data transmitted is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256.
Our Supabase database enforces Row Level Security (RLS): each user can only read and write their own profile row. No user can access another user's data.

We do not integrate Facebook, Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or any advertising network.
You can view all personal information you have provided by opening the Profile tab in the App.
You can update your name, gender, phone, birth date, birth time, language, deity, and region at any time from the Profile tab.
You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by:
We will delete all data from our Supabase database within 30 days and send a confirmation.
You may request a copy of your stored profile data by emailing support@sadhana.app. We will provide it in JSON format within 30 days.
If you have linked an email address, you may sign out at any time from Profile → Account → Sign out. Notifications can be disabled from Profile → Notifications or your device Settings.
If you are in the EU/UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in India, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once constituted under the DPDP Act.
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us at support@sadhana.app if you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information.
The App may request permission to send local push notifications for a daily shloka, an evening aarti reminder, and festival alerts. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device — no remote push notification server is involved (no FCM or APNs server call is made for scheduling). You can disable them at any time from your device Settings or from Profile → Notifications.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via an in-app message. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
